Still have not seen a single snowflake and still expecting 8"-13" per the latest NWS Caribou snow map. They moved the winter storm warning forward 9 hours since last night,  which means the storm warning itself will run into Monday.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 1
AM EST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 7 and 13
  inches.

* WHERE...Northeast Aroostook and Northwest Aroostook Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 1 AM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause
primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving.

The latest road conditions for Maine can be obtained by going to
newengland511.org.

Edit: I find it kind of hilarious that under the new system 7"-13" is a winter weather advisory and not a winter storm warning.

Edit to my Edit: There is a > 50% chance that enough snow will fall to trigger the warning here (8+ inches)but it will not happen in a 24 hour window.  Thus the advisory.

Pretty sure I just heard a transformer explode while I was outside. Kids said the lights flickered.

Reminds me of when I was living in Limerick, had the transformer go.  CMP came over and found a fried squirrel at the base of the pole. Amazing the damage those critters can do.

Still snowing lightly in West Lebanon with about 6-8 inches on the ground. Trees are just absolutely pasted! Dog went out to do his business and got snowbombed.  Surprised the power outages aren't worse - about 12,000 currently in York County.  Cannot wait to get the snowshoes out this afternoon!

At 11 am, it is currently 33F with light snow.  Looking at local reports, I think we have 8" of heavy wet snow.  I'm about to eat and then go out and start on removing this concrete like substance from my driveway.  It made for some pretty pictures early this morning.

Still coming down at a decent rate. More than I thought out there.

Little over a foot.

Maine always finds a way! Haha.

What were the gametime forecasts for your area? Overperformer, underperformer?

I think forecasts were lowered slightly before it hit, because surface temps were a bit marginal.  My elevation I'm sure helped.  I'd say I was on the high end of things, so a bit if an over performer IMBY.

Hi-res FV3 was definitely way too warm.  NAM12 was a little high, NAM3 a little low.  Sref and EPS means were too low.

  Exceeded my expectations.

Wow, over half of Oxford county without power right now.

Saw a convoy of utility trucks headed east on Rt 2 in northern NH. I'm guessing they're headed that way.

Lost power for a while there, just came back on. With no cell service in the area, feels like we go back 150 years here when we lose power. Played some monopoly and bingo with the kids after digging the car out and running a few errands…made the best of it.

Just shy of 16” settled…pretty much spot-on to a lot of guidance. Beautiful out there…

BTV snowfall map from 7 am Friday to 7 am Saturday.  Southern areas would have had quite a bit of snow by 7 am yesterday and northern areas would have picked up more snow after 7 am today.  It snowed here until 1 pm and then the sun made an appearance right before sundown to light up the mountains.

Just losing cell coverage makes me feel like I'm living in the dark ages.  I'd feel like a caveman without power.  Glad your power came back on.

What were ratios like for you?  The snow we had was probably in the 8:1 range.  It was awful trying to remove it.

It's was some mashed potatoes here too, wow was it thick.  I was thinking it could've been as low as 6:1.  I woulda been screwed if I tried using my old snowblower. Had to take it slow still. Feel bad for anyone trying to shovel this slop.

Yeah…no cell coverage here under any conditions…100% wifi service. So when power goes out, we’re in the dark ages. Left my generator with my ex in Manchester since I want a battery back up system. But damn, they’re expensive.

Light snow falling again for my ride this evening. Considering ~16” settled, guessing 18-20” if I measured properly. Would guess 10:1 here at 1450’

NWS Caribou upgraded the snow forecast this morning and said keep what you have and then add another 8" to 12".

This storm is the gift that keeps on giving and it looks like the actual speed (molasses) is somewhat of a surprise.

Ratios currently 13.8"- 1"

Kinda like a Cousin Eddie's Jelly of the Month Club.

How much do you have so far?

About 8" IMBY so far.  Definitely a great day to throw on the X-Country skis and go explore.

Edit: Because of the unpredictability of the strong banding features, the total snowfall forecast is now a wide-ranging 12"-24".
