Honestly, it's usually entertaining. But it can be useful if you're aware of its biases and flaws at that range. For example, like comparing dew points between models since NAM likes to have higher dew points. 

NAM, I think, is better at handling EMLs and lapse rates in general. GFS isn't bad, but Euro is pretty bad imo.
