Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted July 5, 2022 Author Meteorologist Share Posted July 5, 2022 (edited) HRRR is trending away from SW OH being impacted by the overnight MCS directly. That would leave us wide open for the afternoon/evening. BUT... MCS are very unpredictable. I wouldn't rule out a trend in the opposite direction. junior
Nice morning weakening MCS followed by its boundary about to swing on through here. Too bad it wasn't later in the day when the atmosphere is more destabilized.

Columbusbuckeye
I had some nice thunder and heavy rain IMBY earlier this morning and we’ve had on/off rain since then. My yard is happy. My girls (who want to go to the pool) are not. 😜 2

StormfanaticInd
Moderate risk issued for likely derecho in the upper Midwest. It's conceivable this mcs could make it to the Ohio Valley overnight 🤔

Guest
Here is the link to live cameras in South Dakota for the possible derecho. https://www.keloland.com/weather/live-cameras/ Lake Madison, Mitchell, Harrisburg, Sioux Falls, maybe Parker and Brookings would be the ones to check out, in that order as it moves. Huron cam right now. Brookings would be on the NE side of the moderate. If it goes there the rest might be out. If SF tv stations go into live coverage I’ll post that link. *edit*. Just did https://www.keloland.com/news/local-news/severe-storms-moving-through-keloland/ *edit edit*. Looks like short break on live coverage until it gets closer to SF. In and out til then. Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted July 5, 2022 Author Meteorologist Share Posted July 5, 2022 (edited) Will likely be classified as a derecho. Just need the swath requirement. Edited July 5, 2022 by ClicheVortex2014
