June 11-24, 2022 | Northwest Flow Severe Weather/Ring of Fire

That was one of the best thunderstorms I've experienced in a few years bar none. It had everything. Immense amount of lightning, a couple literally struck less than a mile away. Shook the entire complex. Torrential rain(picked up a good 1-1.5" in 30 mins. Some small hail, and had a peak gust of 62 mph per weather station. Waves of rain just pelting the windows sounded like pebbles bouncing off. Lights flickered a few times but power has remained on. Line jsut passed now, but oh wee...what a doozy!

Definitely made up for the quiet spell. Finally CLE woke up and issued a watch. Looks better organized than ever since coming off the lake.

Don't know if I'll stay up for whatever comes through later. Atmosphere might be worked over pretty good.

is it going to dive and turn or nah?

Dunno if you're talking about the NE IN supercell or the MCS in north-central Ohio but either way, I don't expect either will move into the south half of Ohio. At least not as a severe storm.

That's a really tough call. Right now it looks like the severe storms are heading for your area. Similar to the situation here in west-central Ohio, not sure how we're recovering. I would say you're in a greater threat than I am based on recent radar trends.

I don’t like this slight westward expansion of this supercell. Might be hinting that west-central Ohio is destabilizing enough. Still a stretch to think that Dayton is in the picture, but certainly Columbus is in the picture in the next several hours.

Welp…power is out here in Findlay, a mere 14 minutes after the new watch was issued.🙄 Hoping it can be restored in a timely manner.

Was (and still is) a heck of a lightning show. But the winds were nothing compared to that local microburst we had a couple weeks ago here. Power was out for 8 hours then.

Now I wait, and sweat…
