At 642 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located over Springfield, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado. SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado. Radar shows tornado debris in the air. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Springfield, Harmony, Brighton, South Vienna, Catawba, Buck Creek State Park, New Moorefield and Plattsburg. This tornado is expected to track across the northern sections of the city of Springfield. This includes I-70 in Ohio between mile markers 60 and 70.
