Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 24, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 24, 2022 Looks like storm interaction is getting too much. Will be interesting to see what happens after it ingests this cell because it should be discrete
Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 24, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 24, 2022 (edited) Looks like another tornado. Notice how there's still strong inflow but it's been pushed pretty far away from the tornado. Good sign that this supercell will remain capable of producing strong tornadoes once this cell merger is over Edited May 24, 2022 by ClicheVortex2014

Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 24, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 24, 2022 Actually looks like the dominant supercell is forcing the merging cell into its own form. Must be one hell of a meso
ElectricStorm
This thing happened in a 2% tornado area and the severe watch lists EF2+ probs at just 5%. Goes to show that anything can happen even on the most marginal tornado setups

Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 24, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 24, 2022 It’s back. Not sure about that rotation in the FFD but it’s been there for at least a few scans so I guess it’s legit

Chinook
this massive storm had 1 or 2 tornadoes near Morton, merged with the southern cell, had 1 or 2 tornados rain-wrapped, and this: I would imagine the storm has dropped baseball-sized hail multiple times that didn't get reported, possibly because all people were taking shelter. possible 7" of rain Edited May 24, 2022 by Chinook

Cameron thinks it might've been the dryline which makes far more sense. I'm hesitant about calling it a dryline... looks more like a weird warm front. Either way, end result was that stronger moisture was advected pretty rapidly. Edited May 24, 2022 by ClicheVortex2014
