Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 2, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 2, 2022 I know it's early but today might be an overachiever. Seeing more spacing between cells in Oklahoma than anticipated. Not buying the cells west of OKC yet but if those get going... yikes.

Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 2, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 2, 2022 The discrete cell on the southern end of the possible developing squall has an intense mid-level cyclone. This is looking up 11k feet.

EDIT: wrong one, it was the Watonga cell Why was it cancelled? Did the Mesocyclone collapse or something? EDIT: I now don't see why it was cancelled, there's still a potent hook on the Watonga Supercell, they've likely need to issue a new one for it soon. Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 2, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 2, 2022 That strong mid-level meso has worked its way down. Developing showers/possible storms behind it may be a threat to its longevity

Meteorologist ClicheVortex2014 Posted May 2, 2022 Meteorologist Share Posted May 2, 2022 (edited) With an environment like this, don't need discrete supercells to produce big tornado worries. Embedded supercells will continue to threaten for the next several hours STP currently exceeds 3. Edited May 2, 2022 by ClicheVortex2014
