Latest short rangers show sleet eating in to ice totals now. I wouldn't be surprised...sleet manages to ruin every winter storm lol

And not 2 minutes later ILN acknowledges the colder air. They still toyed with the idea of an ISW

SLEET 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Latest NAM says "I see you HRRR and RAP, with your further North, warmer solutions, and I don't care."

The NAM really made little sense with how far south the ZR was when checking out the surface temps.  At least IMBY...

I would think if you do see .20 of ZR accretion, you'll be happy..

I'd be happy with .25" for the scenery, I just have a feeling it may end up panning out where the sleet takes over. We'll see though, not all models suggest the shallower warm layer

The 3k NAM cleans that up a bit. The 12k NAM is too low of a resolution model to use inside this range.

12k resolution is like trying to use a machete for a job that requires a scalpel.

Maybe the rate of rainfall is dampening the potential accretion?

its not coming down very hard. I checked some metal surfaces and its not freezing. Should get interesting in the next 30 minutes on my way home.

HRRR even toys with starting off as a snow sleet mix

Consistent ice bullseye for Champaign, Union, Delaware, Morrow, Knox counties...Still think we have a decent chance at 0.3"+ - especially with this all occurring after dark.

Still sitting around 35 in Westerville. Looking like a chilly rain.

Dewpoints are in the low to mid 20's, so temp will drop some when precip comes in, but yeah, I think we may dodge the worst of this.
