    Haven't posted in a while but it's been hot and sunny for... weeks now here in Nebraska. Don't even remember when we last had a storm. At this point I'd take any rain over what we've been having.

    that is a very nasty storm and heading straight towards me... fortunately it's going pretty slow, itll probably die before it reaches me, but kinda scary when itll probably get here several hours into the night, missing Alaska and the midnight sun right now

    Today certainly looks like it'll be a fun day for my area but I'm flying out at 2 PM and won't be back until November. Have fun with the weather down here, everyone 🙂 Let's hope it's a good severe weather season.

    Thought you guys might enjoy this, got a drone today so I decided to test it out on a small storm to the northwest dji_export_1650585600307.mp4 It's not the most exciting storm, just some rain in the distance, which you can barely see since it's not HD (had to record my phone screen since drone has no SD card). If we get any bigger storms in the next few days though I'll be sure to capture something for you guys!

    OAX discussion mentions this: Current models do seem to put them again to the north of me, guess we'll have to see if that sticks. Who knows, as the time gets closer it may actually end up outside of Nebraska!

    Storm has mostly passed, still a lot of lightning, a lot of that being cloud to ground so it's kinda loud, but power is still on. Worst of it seems to have passed. Interestingly, there is no wind now. My weather station is reading 0 mph and I'm pretty sure it's not a malfunction since the trees aren't moving at all either. Kinda creepy.

    I'm not sure if the storm simply slowed down or not but the storm is still barely over us at this point. I'm not sure if this is actually the case or not, but it feels like the northern part of the line is moving faster than the part down here.

    Local news station is pointing out some small rotation a mile or two the north of me that might get tornado warned. If it does, it'll be north of me and very weak.

    I could try but it probably won't look too great. Wind is picking up too and if I unlock our screen door during this it might go flying lol

    There's a ton of lightning with this storm, near-constant looking outside. I'm almost certainly gonna lose power soon. Hopefully my weather station records the wind we get properly.
