  1. 108,000 without power in SEMI and winds are howling so I would think that number could rise some still.
  2. The thunder snow is what made this storm worth it no matter what else happened with totals.
  3. Just switched over to rain here. I’m right on the edge of snow and rain. Thought I would avoid it, but it’s inevitable. Still much better than I expected and hopefully some backside and lake effect over the next day too. Gonna look like winter for the next week at least.
  4. One thing these wet snows are good for are great pictures. My poor young trees aren’t fairing too well so I have to go clean them off. My official, unofficial, measurement is 4” using the official hand measurement (tape measure was inside). Still coming down, but looks like the dry air is coming. Lights are starting to flicker too which isn’t good.
  5. Had a couple lightning strikes and thunder snow here! I would estimate around 3” or so with it still all snow. Maybe @RobBcould provide some reports for my area if he doesn’t mind?
  6. Is it just me, or did the low end father east? Or is it because the two never phased? Looking like it could actually be really nice for SEMI.
  7. Can confirm this. Roads are an absolute mess.
  8. Very heavy, wet snow falling. Already accumulating on branches and weighing the smaller ones down. Will be interesting to see how many come down especially when the wind picks up.
  9. Oof I feel bad for eastern St. Clair county in MI. Only spot with rain in MI.
  10. Thing went from wet to white in a hurry here.
  11. Light snow just starting here. Might be a light mix, tough to tell.
  12. Pulled the snowblower out of the shed and it started on the first pull. Naturally, that means that we won’t get any snow here.
  13. And I’ll happily be in the 75 degree Ford Field Sunday night. Best conditions of all.
  14. All of SEMI goes WWA. Sigh, always the bridesmaid.
  15. Well my county has been added to the winter storm watch, though I feel that’s for the western side of it. I unfortunately am on the eastern side which will see a lot less totals. Could use a solid 30 mile shift east which isn’t too much to ask I think.
