  1. So where is this hyperactive hurricane season?? I am bored!
  2. My snowfall contest posted 4/2/24 . Whose forecast will be closet to reality for the 4/3-4/6 storm. Here are the current forecasts for Buxton, Maine: Actual snowfall: 13" Accuweather 5 -9" TWC 6 -10" NWS 11 - 19" So the NWS wins, way to go gals and guys in Gray. Power came back on Friday at 5;00 PM
  3. 31.7˚ F, snowing lightly, approaching 12" down, looks like another heavy band of snow moving in from the south. all of buxton is without power. 75% of York county is without power. 330K customers are without power in Southern Maine.

  9. My snowfall contest. Whose forecast will be closet to reality for the 4/3-4/6 storm. Here are the current forecasts for Buxton, Maine: Accuweather 5 -9" TWC 6 -10" NWS 11 - 19"
  10. NAM has the low going west of us -- rain rather than snow in Buxton, Maine??
  11. From the National Weather Service (Gray): WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT... WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations greater than 18 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. My vision of hell: Our 900' muddy and rutted driveway, covered with deep wet snow, mixed with downed branches and trees. It will be a nightmare to clear with our tractor mounted snow blower. Hope I have enough shear bolts. Ugh!
  12. An hour ago Accuweather was predicting 11-15" of snow for Buxton, Maine. TWC was predicting 14-23". Then suddenly the predictions were 4-8" and 11-19". Something happened, what?
  13. Same here, I really recommend the battery backup.
